The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, this morning opened the new Disability Initiative Resource Centre in Camberley and was received by Mr. Gordon Lee-Steere (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey).

By command of The Queen, Sir Anthony Figgis (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Señor Santiago Oñate at 48 Belgrave Square, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the United Mexican States to the Court of St. James's. The Duke of Edinburgh, Master and Elder Brother, the Corporation of Trinity House, was represented by Rear Admiral Sir Paul Greening at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Vice Admiral Sir Roderick Macdonald (Younger Brother, the Corporation of Trinity House) which was held in All Hallows-by-the-Tower, Byward Street, London EC3, this afternoon. The Prince of Wales was represented by Admiral Sir Jock Slater.

Princess Alexandra, accompanied by the Rt. Hon. Sir Angus Ogilvy, today attended a Service of Thanksgiving in St. John's Church, Waterloo Road, London SE1, to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the re-opening of St. John's as the Festival of Britain Church. Her Royal Highness subsequently opened the Waterloo Garden of Remembrance at St. John's Church.

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning visited the Canadian Lifeboat Institution Berth, Steveston Wharf, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His Royal Highness this evening attended a Fund-raising Dinner for the Canadian Lifeboat Institution at the Vancouver Club.

The Princess Royal this morning opened the new sportsfields and grandstand at Dalziel High School, Crawford Street, Motherwell, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Lanarkshire (Mr. Gilbert Cox). Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Autistic Society, this afternoon attended a Business Lunch at Glasgow City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow, and was received by Lady Davies (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow). The Princess Royal later visited Dollar Museum, Castle Campbell Hall, Dollar, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire (Lieutenant Colonel Robert Stewart). Her Royal Highness afterwards opened the Community Learning Centre in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. The Princess Royal, President, the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, this evening attended the One Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversary Dinner of Fife Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Limited at Rothes Hall, Rothes Square, Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mrs. Margaret Dean).

Princess Alexandra, Patron, People's Dispensary for Sick Animals, this afternoon opened the Freda Powell PDSA PetAid Hospital at 1c Eynsham Drive, Thamesmead, London SE2. Her Royal Highness later unveiled the Millennium Tapestry at St. Luke with Holy Trinity Church, Charlton, London SE7.

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this afternoon left Heathrow Airport, London, for Vancouver, Canada. His Royal Highness was received on arrival at Vancouver International Airport this evening by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia (the Hon. Mr. Garde Gardom). Mr. Nicolas Adamson is in attendance.

The Duke of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Tomlinson upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion.

Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Honorary Air Commodore, 600 (City of London) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force, today received Air Vice-Marshal B. Newton, Honorary Inspector General, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, and Wing Commander R. J. Colver, Commanding Officer, 600 (City of London) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Wooden Spoon Society, this morning opened a Family Cancer Care and Hæmatology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Nigel Mobbs). Her Royal Highness, President, the Rural Housing Trust, later opened Village Housing Scheme Ridgewood, Hambleden, Buckinghamshire. The Princess Royal, Patron, RNVR Youth Sail Training Trust, this afternoon attended a Trustees' Meeting at Chichester House, High Holborn, London WC1. Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, afterwards opened the Henry Wellcome Building for Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, De Crespigny Park, Denmark Hill, London SE5.
