Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Autistic Society, this afternoon attended a Business Lunch at Glasgow City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow, and was received by Lady Davies (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow). The Princess Royal later visited Dollar Museum, Castle Campbell Hall, Dollar, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire (Lieutenant Colonel Robert Stewart). Her Royal Highness afterwards opened the Community Learning Centre in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. The Princess Royal, President, the Scottish Chambers of Commerce, this evening attended the One Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversary Dinner of Fife Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Limited at Rothes Hall, Rothes Square, Kingdom Centre, Glenrothes, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mrs. Margaret Dean).

Princess Alexandra, Patron, People's Dispensary for Sick Animals, this afternoon opened the Freda Powell PDSA PetAid Hospital at 1c Eynsham Drive, Thamesmead, London SE2. Her Royal Highness later unveiled the Millennium Tapestry at St. Luke with Holy Trinity Church, Charlton, London SE7.

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this afternoon left Heathrow Airport, London, for Vancouver, Canada. His Royal Highness was received on arrival at Vancouver International Airport this evening by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia (the Hon. Mr. Garde Gardom). Mr. Nicolas Adamson is in attendance.

The Duke of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Tomlinson upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion.

Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Honorary Air Commodore, 600 (City of London) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force, today received Air Vice-Marshal B. The Princess Royal, Patron, Wooden Spoon Society, this morning opened a Family Cancer Care and Hæmatology Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Nigel Mobbs). Her Royal Highness, President, the Rural Housing Trust, later opened Village Housing Scheme Ridgewood, Hambleden, Buckinghamshire. The Princess Royal, Patron, RNVR Youth Sail Training Trust, this afternoon attended a Trustees' Meeting at Chichester House, High Holborn, London WC1. Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, afterwards opened the Henry Wellcome Building for Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, De Crespigny Park, Denmark Hill, London SE5.

The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, this morning visited the City Centre shopping mall in Doha, Qatar, and opened the new stores of Debenhams and Next. Their Royal Highnesses afterwards called upon The Heir Apparent (Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani) at the Amiri Diwan. The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Foundation, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, later visited Doha College and met participants in The Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Their Royal Highnesses this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Qatar. Lieutenant Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.

The Duke of York this evening attended the London Symphony Orchestra Gala Concert and Dinner at the Barbican Arts and Conference Centre, Silk Street, London EC2.

The Duke of Kent, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this morning received Sir John Wilsey upon assuming his appointment as Vice Chairman.

The Hon. Mrs. Rhodes has succeeded Dame Frances Campbell-Preston as Lady in Waiting to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
