The Duke of York this morning arrived at Haneda Airport, Tokyo, and was received by Her Majesty's Ambassador to Japan (His Excellency Mr. Timothy Hitchens). Lieutenant Commander Michael Hutchinson is in attendance.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a Fundraising Concert in Gloucester Cathedral for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

The Princess Royal this morning visited the restored Oystermouth Castle, Newton Road, the Mumbles, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr. Byron Lewis). Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the 360 Beach and Watersports Centre, Mumbles Road, Swansea. The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Wales National Pool Swansea, Sketty Lane, Swansea. Her Royal Highness later visited Cardiff Youth Offending Service, the Rise, Penhill Road, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Dr. Peter Beck).

The Queen was represented by Dr. Ingrid Roscoe (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire) at the Memorial Service for Mr. John Lyles (formerly Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire) which was held in Wakefield Cathedral this afternoon.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a new Conjugal Coat of Arms which will represent them in heraldic terms as a married couple.

The Conjugal Coat of Arms was approved this year by The Queen and has been shown publicly for the first time today.

Designed by The College of Arms in London, Conjugal Arms traditionally show the separate shields of a Royal husband and wife, side by side.

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to announce the christening of Prince George will take place on Wednesday, 23rd October at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.

Prince George will be christened by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning presented The Queen's Award for Enterprise to Metryx Limited, 1240 Park Avenue, Aztec West, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter). His Royal Highness later opened the renovated Pegasus House for Airbus Operations Limited at Aerospace Avenue, Gloucester Road North, Filton. The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited the Bristol and Bath Science Park, Dirac Crescent, Emerson's Green, Bristol, and was received by Mr. Robert Bernays (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire). The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Bridewell Royal Hospital, this morning opened Ridley House at King Edward's School, Witley, Petworth Road, Godalming, Surrey.

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, MapAction, this evening attended a Reception at the Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Dr. Jaimini Bhagwati at India House, Aldwych, London WC2, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for India in London.

The Duke of Kent, Royal Patron, the Dresden Trust, this morning received Mr. Alan Russell (Chairman) and Mrs. Eveline Eaton (Vice Chairman).
