Following His Majesty The King’s Accession, the Royal Household is conducting a review of Royal Patronage.  The review will cover the organisations of which Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was Patron and those organisations to which The King and The Queen Consort were connected through Patronage or Presidency as Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.

Members of the Royal Family have links with hundreds of charities, military associations, professional bodies and public service organisations. Some are well known, while others may be smaller bodies working in a very specialist area or on a local basis only.

Having a Royal patron or president provides vital publicity for the work of these organisations, and allows their enormous achievements and contributions to society to be recognised.

The Club

The Club is a dining club founded in 1764 by Dr Johnson and Sir Joshua Reynolds, which has been meeting continually since then. Its dinners are informal, convivial, relaxing and unstructured, and held at Brook's in St James's on the last Tuesday of the month at 7.45 for 8.15pm.
