The Countess of Wessex has taken part in the annual BGC Charity Trading Day.

On Monday 11 September The Countess of Wessex took to the trading floor as part of the 13th annual BGC Charity Trading Day, which commemorates the anniversary of the World Trade Centre attacks.

In memory of the 658 BGC colleagues who lost their lives, all revenue is donated to a number of charities.

Since its inception in 2004 the charity day has raised over $137 million globally.

This year two of those charities chosen have close connections to The Countess. DEBRA, of which Her Royal Highness is Patron, is a charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

The Countess is President of Brainwave, a charity that helps children with disabilities achieve greater independence.
