    The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning visited the New South Wales Rural Fire Service Headquarters, 4 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales, Australia.

    Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon visited the Sea Heritage Foundation at Old Coal Loader Terminal, Balls Head Drive, Sydney.

    The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, later held an Investiture at Government House, Sydney.

    Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, afterwards attended a Garden Party at Government House given by the Governor of New South Wales (the Hon. Margaret Beazley) and Mr. Dennis Wilson.

    The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Dinner for representatives from Her Royal Highness's Patronages and other Charities at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, 33 Peel Street, Kirribilli, Sydney.

    The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this morning attended a Service at London Road Cemetery, Coventry, in memory of St. John Ambulance volunteers who lost their lives in World War II and, having been received by Colonel George Marsh (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands), this afternoon attended a Reception at Westfield House, Army Reserve Centre, Radford Road, Coventry.

    The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning arrived at Sydney Airport, Australia, and was received by Colonel Michael Miller (Official Secretary to the Governor of New South Wales).

    Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, later carried out the following engagements in Sydney, New South Wales.

    The Princess Royal this morning called upon the Governor of New South Wales (the Hon. Margaret Beazley) and Mr. Dennis Wilson at Government House.

    Her Royal Highness afterwards called upon the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mrs. Hurley at Admiralty House, Kirribilli.

    The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, later visited Sydney Royal Easter Show and attended the Opening Ceremony, followed this evening by the Opening Dinner at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

    The Queen was represented by the Lord Jay of Ewelme (formerly Permanent Under-Secretary of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Head of the Diplomatic Service) at the Memorial Service for Sir Christopher Mallaby (formerly Her Majesty's Ambassador to the French Republic) which was held at St. Marylebone Parish Church, London NW1, this afternoon.

    The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Adam Wolfe upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer, 3rd Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel David Haggar upon assuming the appointment.

    The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Japan Society, and The Duchess of Gloucester this evening viewed the "Japan: Courts and Culture" Exhibition at The Queen's Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

    The Princess Royal, President, Racing Welfare, today attended a Charity Luncheon and unveiled a statue of Dick Francis at Aintree Racecourse, Ormskirk Road, Aintree, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside (Mr. Mark Blundell).

    Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Australia and Papua New Guinea.

    His Excellency Mr. Álvaro Gómez-Jeramillo was received in audience by The Queen today via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Colombia to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. de Gómez was also received by Her Majesty.

    His Excellency Mr. Nuno Brito was received in audience by The Queen via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Portuguese Republic to the Court of St. James's.

    Ms. Rosa Batoréu was also received by Her Majesty.

    Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

    Mrs. Helen Nellis (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire) was present at Luton Airport this morning upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Poland and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.
