His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams (Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda) was received in audience by The King this afternoon.

Dame Karen Pierce (His Majesty's Ambassador to the United States of America) was received by The King.

Dr. Henry Kissinger (former United States Secretary of State) was received by His Majesty.

The King, Colonel-in-Chief, this evening entertained the Colonels of the Regiments of the Household Division to Dinner at Clarence House.

The Queen, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels' Conference and Dinner at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace

The President of The Portuguese Republic visited The King this morning.

His Majesty and The President afterwards attended a Service of Thanksgiving at The Queen's Chapel, Marlborough Road, St. James's, London SW1, to mark the Six Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance and were received by the Reverend Canon Paul Wright (Sub-Dean of His Majesty's Chapels Royal) and Dr. Maria João Rodrigues de Araujo (President of Portugal-UK 650).

The following were received in audience by The King this afternoon and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty's Ambassadors: Mr. Stephen Conlon (Turkmenistan), Mr. John Marshall (the Republic of Guinea), Ms. Katharine Ransome (the Republic of Mali and non-resident Ambassador to Burkina Faso) and Mr. Darren Welch (the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia).

Mrs. Conlon and Mrs. Welch were also received by His Majesty.

The Earl of Crawford and Balcarres was received by The King and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of the Thistle worn by his father, the late Earl of Crawford and Balcarres.

The Hon. Alexander Lindsay, the Lady Bettina Drummond-Hay and the Lady Iona Mackworth-Young were also received by His Majesty.

The King, Colonel-in-Chief, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), accompanied by The Princess Royal, Colonel, Gold Stick in Waiting, later presented the new Sovereign's Standard to The Blues and Royals in the Quadrangle of Buckingham Palace.

His Majesty and Her Royal Highness were received on Parade with a Royal Salute.

After the new Standard was consecrated, The King was graciously pleased to address the Parade and Colonel Mark Berry (Lieutenant Colonel Commanding Household Cavalry, Silver Stick-in-Waiting) replied.

The Parade subsequently ranked past His Majesty and Her Royal Highness.

Kensington Palace

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning visited Riversley Park Children's Centre, Clinic Drive, Coton Road, Nuneaton, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr. Timothy Cox).

Her Royal Highness, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon received Professor Eamon McCrory (Board Member, the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood Advisory Group) at Windsor Castle.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this morning visited the Royal National Institute of Blind People, Grimaldi Building, 154a Pentonville Road, London N1, and was received by Mr. Paul Herbage (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Blind Veterans UK, this afternoon received Mr. Adrian Bell upon assuming his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this afternoon attended the parading of the new Sovereign's Standard to the Regiment followed by a Reception at Hyde Park Barracks, Knightsbridge, London SW7.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), afterwards attended a Household Cavalry Council Meeting at Hyde Park Barracks.

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, this evening attended the Fellows' Reception at the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7, and was received by Mr. Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon attended a Reception at Apsley House, London W1, to mark the Six Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Anglo-Portuguese Alliance.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, later invested The Duchess of Edinburgh as Dame Grand Cross in the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem at Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Royal Academy of Music, later attended a Musical Theatre Company performance of "Jane Eyre" at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

The Prince of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held a Meeting with the Rt. Hon. Humza Yousaf MSP (First Minister of Scotland) via telephone.
