    The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester this morning visited Gloucester Cathedral and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr. Edward Gillespie). Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended the Gloucester Day Service of Thanksgiving at St. Mary de Crypt Church, Southgate Street, Gloucester, and were received by Mr. Mark Hurrell (Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire). The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester afterwards attended the Gloucester Day Parade on Southgate Street, Gloucester.

    His Royal Highness, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, this evening closed the XXII Commonwealth Games at Alexander Stadium, Walsall Road, Birmingham.

    The Countess of Wessex this morning attended a Meeting with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to discuss the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative.

    Her Royal Highness today held a Meeting via telephone with Dr. Denis Mukwege (Founder and Medical Director, Panzi Hospital and Foundation).

    The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay subsequently visited Rogart Mart, Rogart, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Sutherland (Major General Patrick Marriott).
