    Ms. Grace Nichols was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty presented her with The Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry.

    The Poet Laureate (Professor Simon Armitage) was present.

    The Queen held a Council via video link at 2.15 p.m..

    There were present: the Rt. Hon. Mark Spencer MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Stephen Barclay MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster), the Baroness Evans of Bowes Park (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal) and the Rt. Hon. Kwasi Kwarteng MP (Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy).

    The Baroness Williams of Trafford was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

    Ms. Alison Johnstone MSP and Ms. Elin Jones MS made affirmation as members of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

    At the Council The Queen approved the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of England (other than Cornwall and those in the Duchy of Lancaster) and Wales.

    After the Council, the Rt. Hon. Stephen Barclay MP had an audience of Her Majesty via video link when The Queen approved the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of the Duchy of Lancaster.

    Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

    The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

    Mrs. Justice Bacon, Mrs. Justice Collins Rice, Mrs. Justice Ellenbogen, Mrs. Justice Tipples, Mrs. Justice Smith, Mrs. Justice Arbuthnot of Edrom and Mrs. Justice Williams were received by The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, this afternoon upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when His Royal Highness invested them with the Insignia of Dames Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

    Mr. Justice Bourne, Mr. Justice Calver, Mr. Justice Fordham, Mr. Justice Foxton, Mr. Justice Green, Mr. Justice Henshaw, Mr. Justice Hilliard, Mr. Justice Adam Johnson, Mr. Justice Linden, Mr. Justice McFarland, Mr. Justice Meade, Mr. Justice Miles, Mr. Justice Peel, Mr. Justice Poole, Mr. Justice Scoffield, Mr. Justice Wall, Mr. Justice Mellor, Mr. Justice Humphreys, Mr. Justice Rooney, Mr. Justice Cotter, Mr. Justice Eyre, Mr. Justice Ritchie, Mr. Justice Edwin Johnson and Mr. Justice Leech were received by The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when His Royal Highness conferred upon them the honour of Knighthood and invested them with the Insignia of Knights Bachelor.

    By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Manuel Lobo Antunes at 11 Belgrave Square, London SW1 this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Portuguese Republic to the Court of St. James's.

    The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Kenya and was received this evening upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya (Her Excellency Ms. Jane Marriott).

    Mr. Jason Keen is in attendance.

    The Countess of Wessex today undertook engagements in New York, New York, United States of America.

    Her Royal Highness this morning attended Meetings on the Ukraine conflict's impact on Women and Girls held by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office at the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations, One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, 885 Second Avenue.

    The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Lunch with Ms. Bineta Dinop (African Union Special Envoy on Women, Peace and Security).

    Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Meeting at the United Nations' Headquarters held by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, the Group of Friends of Women in Afghanistan and United Nations Women.

    The Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Dinner held by Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith, 5 Black's Road, London W6, to mark its Twenty Fifth Anniversary and were received by Mr. John Barber (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

    The Prince of Wales this afternoon received the Governor-General of Canada (Her Excellency the Rt. Hon. Mary Simon) and Mr. Whit Fraser.

    His Royal Highness received the Rt. Hon. Nadhim Zahawi MP (Secretary of State for Education).

    The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince's Trust Canada, afterwards held a Meeting via video link to launch The Prince's Trust Canada Green Jobs and the Future of Work Programme.

    His Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal Collection Trust, later opened Pug Yard Learning Centre, Windsor Castle.

    The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Big Lunch, this afternoon attended the judging of the Platinum Pudding Competition at Fortnum and Mason, 181 Piccadilly, London W1.

    Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, later received Dame Julia Cleverdon upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman and Mrs. Joanna Prior upon assuming the appointment.

    His Excellency Mr. Enkhsukh Battumur was received in audience by The Queen today via video link and presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Mongolia to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. Ganchimeg Purevdorj was also received by Her Majesty.

    Her Excellency Mrs. Rukhshona Emomali was received in audience by The Queen via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Tajikistan to the Court of St. James's.

    Mr. Shamsullo Sakhibov was also received by Her Majesty.

    Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

    The Governor-General of Canada and Mr. Whit Fraser were invited to Tea with The Queen.

    The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

    The Queen was represented by Lieutenant Colonel Sir Alexander Matheson of Matheson, Bt. (Senior Gentleman Usher to Her Majesty) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Rear Admiral Colin Cooke-Priest (Extra Gentleman Usher to The Queen and formerly Senior Gentleman Usher) which was held in Portsmouth Cathedral, Hampshire, today.

    The Princess Royal, Patron, Acid Survivors Trust International, this evening held a Reception at St. James's Palace.
