    The Prince of Wales this morning visited Haymarket Metro Station, Newcastle upon Tyne, to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of the Tyne and Wear Metro and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs. Susan Winfield).

    His Royal Highness afterwards visited Discovery Museum, Blandford Square, Newcastle upon Tyne.

    The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince's Trust, subsequently visited The Prince's Trust Cheryl's Trust Centre, 53-57 Blandford Square.

    His Royal Highness this afternoon visited J. Barbour and Sons Limited, South Shields, Jarrow.

    The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this afternoon visited the Royal British Legion Poppy Factory, 20 Petersham Road, Richmond, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

    Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Guild of St. Bride, this evening attended a Journalists' Commemorative Service in St. Bride's Church, Fleet Street, London EC4.

    Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, National Coastwatch Institution, this afternoon received Mr. Jon Gifford upon relinquishing his appointment as President.

    The Princess Royal, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, afterwards received Sir John Armitt upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Dr. Ann Limb upon assuming the appointment.
