    Her Excellency Mrs. Natalia Royo Ruiz de Hagerman was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Panama to the Court of St. James's.

    Mr. Santiago Hagerman Arnus was also received by Her Majesty.

    His Excellency Mr. Yasumasa Nagamine was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Japan to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. Nagamine was also received by Her Majesty.

    Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

    The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia visited The Queen and remained to Luncheon.

    The Earl of Wessex was present.

    His Excellency Mr. Mohammad Jaafar Bakr Haidar Al-Sadr was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Iraq to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. Nahida Melhem was also received by Her Majesty.

    Her Excellency Ms. Catherine Colonna was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the French Republic to the Court of St. James's.

    Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

    Sir Iakoba Italeli was received by The Queen this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Governor-General of Tuvalu.

    Lady Italeli was also received by Her Majesty.

    The Queen held an Evening Reception at Buckingham Palace for the Diplomatic Corps at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were present.

    The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Admiral Sir George Zambellas (formerly First Sea Lord, Chief of the Naval Staff, First and Principal Naval Aide-de-Camp, Commander-in-Chief Fleet and Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Vice Admiral Sir Donald Gosling (formerly Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

    The Duke of York was represented by Major William McLean.

    Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Vice Admiral Sir David Steel.

    Colonel Christopher Sharwood-Smith (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire) was present at Luton Airport this evening upon the Arrival of The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia and welcomed Their Majesties on behalf of The Queen.

    Mr. Benjamin Fender was received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia.

    The following were received in audience by Her Majesty upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr. Rowan Laxton (the Republic of Cameroon) and Mrs. Kara Owen (the Republic of Singapore).

    Mrs. Laxton and Commandant William Tierney were also received by The Queen.

    Dr. Philip Rushbrook was received in audience by Her Majesty and kissed hands upon his appointment as Governor of St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan Da Cunha.

    The Reverend Professor Peter Galloway was received by Her Majesty this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Chaplain of The Queen's Chapel of the Savoy and delivered up the Badge and Chain of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Chaplain of the Royal Victorian Order when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

    The Reverend Canon Thomas Woodhouse was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Chaplain of The Queen's Chapel of the Savoy when Her Majesty handed to him his Badge and Chain as Chaplain of the Royal Victorian Order.

    The Queen, Patron, this morning opened the new Headquarters of the Royal Philatelic Society London at 15 Abchurch Lane, London EC4, and was received by the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor (Alderman William Russell) and the President (Mr. Richard Stock).

    Her Majesty, escorted by the President, toured the building, visiting the Members' Lounge and Library and viewing displays of philatelic artefacts, historical stamps, and books and periodicals, and met members of the Society, young philatelists, architects, volunteers and staff.

    The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

    The Queen was represented by Mr. Angus Campbell (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of General Sir John Wilsey (formerly Aide-de-Camp General) which was held in Sherborne Abbey, Dorset, this afternoon.

    The Duke of Kent was represented by Major General Bryan Dutton.

    Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs. Peter Troughton.
