    Buckingham Palace

    The King and The Queen Consort this morning arrived at Micklegate Bar, York, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs. Johanna Ropner) and the Lord Mayor of York (Councillor David Carr), who surrendered to The King and The Queen Consort the Sword of the City, which Their Majesties returned to him.

    The King and The Queen Consort afterwards drove to York Minster and were received at the Great West Door by the Archbishop of York (the Most Reverend and Rt. Hon. Stephen Cottrell) and the Acting Dean of York Minster (Canon Michael Smith).

    Their Majesties attended a Service to mark the Unveiling and Blessing of a Statue of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

    The King, accompanied by The Queen Consort, afterwards unveiled a statue of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the West Front of the Minster.

    The King, accompanied by The Queen Consort, having been received at the Mansion House, 45 High Street, Doncaster, by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Dame Hilary Chapman) and the Civic Mayor of Doncaster (Councillor Ian Pearson), this afternoon conferred City Status on Doncaster and subsequently attended a Reception for members of the local community.

    The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria visited His Majesty this afternoon.

    The King held a Council at 4.30 p.m..

    There were present: the Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Stephen Barclay MP, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Thérèse Coffey MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), the Rt. Hon. Michelle Donelan MP (Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) and the Rt. Hon. Oliver Dowden MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster).

    The Rt. Hon. Victoria Ford MP, the Rt. Hon. John Glen MP, the Rt. Hon. James Heappey MP, the Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Horner, the Lord Matthews and the Rt. Hon. Jeremy Quin MP were sworn in as members of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Stephen Barclay MP received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, took the Oath of Office and kissed hands on appointment.

    Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) and the Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Young (Joint Principal Private Secretary to His Majesty) were in attendance on The King.

    The Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King this evening.

    Buckingham Palace

    Her Excellency Dr. Fatou Bensouda was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of the Gambia in London.

    Mr. Philip Bensouda was also received by His Majesty.

    His Excellency Mr. Martin Fraser was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Ireland to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. Fraser was also received by His Majesty.

    Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

    The King and The Queen Consort this afternoon visited the Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington, London SW7, to view the "Africa Fashion" exhibition and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of the Museum (Sir Nicholas Coleridge) and Dr. Tristram Hunt (Director).

    Their Majesties toured the exhibition, escorted by Dr. Christine Checinska (Senior Curator, Africa and Diaspora: Textiles and Fashion) and Ms. Elisabeth Murray (Project Curator, Africa Fashion), and afterwards attended a Reception.

    The Queen Consort today received Mr. Joseph Coelho (Children's Laureate) and Ms. Diana Gerald (Chief Executive, Book Trust).

    Her Majesty, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Halton, received Group Captain Fergus Garwood upon assuming his appointment as Station Commander.

    The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

    Buckingham Palace

    The King this afternoon gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Arrival of British Ugandan Asians to the United Kingdom.

    The King and The Queen Consort this evening gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Medallists at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

    The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal and The Duke of Gloucester were present.

    The King and The Queen Consort this afternoon attended a Reception for Lord-Lieutenants at St. James's Palace.

    Afterwards The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo visited The King at Buckingham Palace.

    Lieutenant Colonel Thomas White was received by The King upon relinquishing his appointment as Equerry to Her late Majesty when The King invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

    The King held a Council at 4.30 p.m..

    Ms. Ruth Bell (Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire) was present at Luton Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Togolese Republic and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The King.

    The King and The Queen Consort this morning visited Project Zero Waltham Forest Community Interest Company, the Outset Centre, Community Youth Hub, 2A Grange Road, London E17, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Founder and Operational Manager of Project Zero (Mr. Stephen Barnabis), Mr. Rico Thai-Richards (Project Zero Youth Champion) and the Mayor of Waltham Forest (Councillor Karen Bellamy).

    His Majesty, escorted by the Founder and Operational Manager, and Her Majesty, escorted by the Youth Champion, toured the Centre, hearing about the programmes and services for young people provided by Project Zero and meeting members of staff and service users.

    Mr. Christopher Pope was received by The King at Buckingham Palace this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Co-Director of the Professional Teaching Institute.

    The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

    Her Royal Highness, on behalf of His Majesty, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

    The King was represented by the Earl of Rosslyn at the Funeral of Mr. John Bowes-Lyon which was held at the Oratory, Brompton Road, London SW7, this afternoon.

    The Queen Consort was represented by Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles.

    Buckingham Palace

    The King this morning met families settled in Aberdeen from Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine at Aberdeen Town House, Broad Street, Aberdeen, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor David Cameron, the Lord Provost).

    The King also met key workers who have helped support refugee communities in Aberdeen and viewed a choir performance.

    The President of the Gabonese Republic visited The King at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

    The Queen Consort this evening presented the Booker Prize for Fiction and attended a Dinner at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1, and was received by Ms. Roxane Zand (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

    Balmoral Castle

    The King this afternoon officially reopened the Burrell Collection, Pollok Country Park, 2060 Pollokshaws Road, Bellahouston, Glasgow, following its six-year long renovation and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

    His Majesty, escorted by Ms. Jane Rowlands (Senior Museums Manager), toured the Collection and met members of staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters.

    The Queen Consort this morning met Independent Domestic Violence Advisers, survivors of domestic abuse and representatives of the domestic abuse service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, 369 Fulham Road, London SW10, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

    The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.
