    The Duke of York this morning visited the Great Yorkshire Show at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs. Johanna Ropner).

    His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Edwardian Garden at the Royal Horticultural Society Garden Harlow Carr, Crag Lane, Harrogate.

    His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by the Governor of Sao Paulo (Joao Agripino da Costa Doria Junior) at the Residence of the Brazilian Ambassador in London.

    The Duke of York later attended a Briefing at the Ministry of Defence, Whitehall, London SW1.

    The Duke of York, Chancellor, today attended Graduation Ceremonies at the University of Huddersfield, Queensgate, Huddersfield, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Mr. Edmund Anderson).

    His Royal Highness this afternoon presented The Duke of York Entrepreneur Awards at the Oastler Building, University of Huddersfield.

    The Duke of York, Patron, later visited Yorkshire Air Ambulance's Nostell Air Support Unit near Wakefield, and was received by Mr. Peter Sunderland (Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire).

    The Duke of York, Patron, Kohima Educational Trust, this morning attended a Service in York Minster commemorating the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Battle of Kohima and was received by Mr. Peter Scrope (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

    His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by the Archbishop of York (the Most Reverend Dr. John Sentamu) at Bishopthorpe Palace, York.

    The Duke of York afterwards viewed the York Minster Precinct Neighbourhood Plan at the Stoneyard, 4 Deangate, York.

    His Royal Highness was represented by Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) at the Memorial Service for Sir Charles Farr (Former Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee and Head of the Joint Intelligence Organisation) which was held at the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1, this morning.

    The Rt. Hon. Kenneth Mackintosh MSP (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament) was received by The Queen today.

    The Rt. Hon. Nicola Sturgeon MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Government) was received by Her Majesty.

    The Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry KT (Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) was received by The Queen and reported on the recent proceedings of the General Assembly.

    Mr. Adair Anderson, winner of the annual shooting event of The Queen's Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers, was presented to Her Majesty this afternoon and received The Queen's Prize.

    The Queen gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

    The Duke of York, The Earl of Wessex and Forfar and The Princess Royal were present.

    The Queen's Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers and the High Constables of the Palace of Holyroodhouse were on duty.

    The Royal Marine Band Scotland, the Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and the Royal Scottish Pipers' Society played selections of music during the afternoon.
