    The Duke of Kent, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was represented by Major General Paul Nanson (Colonel) at the Memorial Service for Major General David Woodford (formerly Colonel) which was held in the Memorial Chapel, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, Surrey, this afternoon.

    The Duke of Kent this morning visited Castle Ward, Strangford, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr. David Lindsay).

    His Royal Highness afterwards named the Ferry MV STRANGFORD II at the Slip, Strangford, and, as President, Royal National Lifeboat Association, met crew members from Portaferry Lifeboat Station.

    The Duke of Kent later officially re-opened the Exploris Aquarium, the Rope Walk, Castle Street, Portaferry.
