    Palace Of Holyroodhouse

    The Queen arrived at Edinburgh Airport this afternoon.

    The Queen drove to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received in the Forecourt by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost) and members of the City of Edinburgh Council, when the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost surrendered to The Queen the Keys of the City, which Her Majesty returned to him.

    A Guard of Honour found by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, under the command of Major Jonathan Thompson, was mounted in the Forecourt.

    Afterwards Her Majesty was received inside the Palace by the Hereditary Keeper (the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon).

    The Queen was represented by the Lord Janvrin (Permanent Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty) at the Funeral of Brigadier Sir Miles Hunt-Davis (Extra Equerry to The Duke of Edinburgh and formerly Private Secretary and Treasurer to His Royal Highness) which was held in the Minster Church of St. Denys, Warminster, Wiltshire, this afternoon.

    The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Lieutenant General Peter Pearson.

    The Prince of Wales was represented by Sir Stephen Lamport.

    The Duke of York was represented by Vice Admiral Sir Tom Blackburn.

    The Earl and Countess of Wessex were represented by Brigadier John Smedley.

    The Princess Royal was represented by Captain Nicholas Wright RN.

    The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Lieutenant Colonel Alastair Todd.

    The Duke of Kent was represented by Mr. Andrew Palmer.

    Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Major General Sir Simon Cooper.
