    The Prince of Wales this morning arrived at Muscat International Airport and was received by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman (His Excellency Mr. Hamish Cowell).

    His Royal Highness, on behalf of The Queen, this afternoon paid his Condolences at the Al Alam Palace, Muscat, following the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

    The Prince of Wales this evening arrived in the United Kingdom from Oman.

    His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, received Colonel Justin Stenhouse upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Hugo Lloyd upon assuming the appointment.

    The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, Turquoise Mountain Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting.

    His Royal Highness later held a Meeting for Waitrose Duchy Organic.

    The Prince of Wales, President, Prince's Trust, subsequently opened the new South London Centre, Blackfriars Circus, London SE1, and was received by Colonel Simon Duckworth (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

    His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Parachute Regiment, later received Lieutenant Colonel Langley Sharp upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 1st Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Alan Hortop upon assuming the appointment.

    The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Reception at St. James's Palace to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of His Royal Highness's Chairmanship of The Prince's Council.

    The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, this afternoon received Lieutenant General Sir Simon Mayall upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel and Brigadier Alan Richmond upon assuming the appointment.

    His Royal Highness later attended an Accounting for Sustainability Summit at St. James's Palace.

    The Prince of Wales afterwards opened the "Apertures of a Revolution. Photographs from December 1989" exhibition at the Romanian Cultural Institute, Belgrave Square, London SW1.

    The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, Helen and Douglas House, and Royal Patron, Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, this afternoon received children and young people from the charities and helped them to decorate the Christmas Tree at Clarence House.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were present at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Vice Admiral Sir Donald Gosling (formerly Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

    The Prince of Wales this afternoon received the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall (formerly Dean of Westminster).

    His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Air Corps, received Lieutenant Colonel Robin Melling upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Regiment and Lieutenant Colonel Huw Law upon assuming the appointment, and Colonel Edward Butterworth upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer Aviation Reconnaissance Force.

    The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Soil Association, received Mrs. Helen Browning (Chief Executive).

    His Royal Highness subsequently attended the presentation of the interfaith Bridge Award in London.
