    The Prince of Wales, Marshal of the Royal Air Force, this morning visited 617 Squadron at Royal Air Force Marham, King's Lynn, Norfolk. The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this afternoon visited Kongsberg Maritime Limited, Wick, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness (the Viscount Thurso). His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception with the Caithness Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs at Mackays Hotel, Union Street, Wick.

    By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Branko Neskovic at 5-7 Lexham Gardens, London W8, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Court of St. James's. By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr. Jose Enrique Castillo Barrantes at 23 Woodstock Street, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Costa Rica to the Court of St. James's. The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, the St. Nazaire Society, was represented by Mr. Nicholas Beattie (Chairman) at the Service of Thanksgiving for Major General Corran Purdon (Life President) which was held at the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist, Long Street, Devizes, Wiltshire, this afternoon.

    The Duke of Gloucester this morning launched the North Western Protector at Whitehaven Marina, Bulwark Quay, Whitehaven, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (Mrs. Claire Hensman). His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this afternoon officially opened the new St. John's Hub, Ambleside, Cumbria. The Duke of Gloucester, Vice Royal Patron, the Almshouse Association, later visited Cooper Pattinson's Trust Homes at Hunter House and Rayrigg Gardens, Windermere, Cumbria. His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, subsequently visited the St. John Ambulance Event Medical Centre at Kendall Calling Music Festival, Shap, Cumbria. The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, today attended the Summer County Cup at Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club, College Road, Eastbourne, and was received by Mrs. Sara Stonor (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex).
