    The Princess Royal, Patron, Learning and Work Institute, this afternoon attended the Employment and Skills Convention Scotland to mark its Tenth Anniversary, the Studio Glasgow, 67 Hope Street, Glasgow, and was received by Mr. John Chapman (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow).

    Her Royal Highness, Patron, Citizens Advice Scotland, afterwards visited Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Bureau to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire (Rear Admiral Michael Gregory).

    The Princess Royal later opened the Muirfield Centre, 1a South Muirhead Road, Cumbernauld, Dunbartonshire.

    Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this evening held the Chancellor's Awards Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

    The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Army Music, today held a Meeting.

    Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Army Music, later received Colonel Barry Jenkins upon relinquishing his appointment as Director.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out engagements in Stoke-on-Trent and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr. Ian Dudson).

    Their Royal Highnesses, Joint Patrons, the Watercolour World, this morning visited the Watercolour World project at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Hanley.

    The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Bethesda Methodist Chapel, Albion Street, Hanley.

    His Royal Highness, President, this afternoon visited the offices of The Prince's Trust, Tontine Street.

    The Prince of Wales, Patron, the United Kingdom Historic Building Preservation Trust, subsequently visited Middleport Pottery, Port Street, Middleport.

    The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, this afternoon visited the Literacy Hub "Stoke Reads", Stanley Matthews Way, and was received by Mr. Graham Stow (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire).

    Her Royal Highness afterwards visited SafeLives, Royal Stoke University Hospital, Newcastle Road.

    His Excellency Mr. Jean-Pierre Jouyet was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the French Republic to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. Brigitte Taittinger-Jouyet was also received by Her Majesty.

    His Excellency Mr. Omar Barakat Mnawer Al Nahar was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Court of St. James's.

    Mrs. Al Nahar was also received by Her Majesty.

    Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

    The President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Mrs. Elke Büdenbender visited The Queen this afternoon and remained to Luncheon.

    The Duke of Cambridge was present.

    Her Majesty gave a Reception for recently retired and appointed Lord-Lieutenants at Buckingham Palace this evening.

    The Earl of Wessex and Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy were present.

    The Baroness Rawlings (Baroness in Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this morning upon the arrival of The President of the Federal Republic of Germany and Frau Elke Büdenbender and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of The Queen.
