    Divine Service was held in Sandringham Parish Church this morning. The Bishop of Leicester preached the Sermon. Mrs. Jane Kendal (Senior Teacher of Dersingham Voluntary Aided Primary and Nursery School) was received by The Queen when Her Majesty presented a Bible to Emily Clay for proficiency in Religious Instruction. Her Majesty presented The Queen's Gold Medal for Academic Excellence at King Edward VII School, King's Lynn, to Owen Dewey who was introduced into Her Majesty's presence by Mr. Lloyd Brown, the Principal.

    The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Mr. Toby Dennis (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire) at the Memorial Service for Mr. Anthony Worth (formerly Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire) which was held in Lincoln Cathedral this morning. The Princess Royal was represented by Mr. Graham Rowles Nicholson.

    The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this morning attended a Meeting at Gorton Monastery, 89 Gorton Lane, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith). His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, afterwards visited Trinity Church of England High School, Higher Cambridge Street, Manchester.

    The Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP had an audience of The Queen this morning and delivered up the Great Seal and took leave upon relinquishing his appointment as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. Her Majesty held a Council at 12.00 noon. There were present: the Rt. Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. David Gauke MP, the Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP, the Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid MP, the Rt. Hon. Esther McVey MP, the Rt. Hon. Karen Bradley MP, the Rt. Hon. Matthew Hancock MP and the Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP. Mr. Damian Hinds MP was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council. The following took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office: the Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP(as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care), the Rt. Hon. Damian Hinds MP (as Secretary of State for Education), the Rt. Hon. Esther McVey MP (as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions), the Rt. Hon. Karen Bradley MP (as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland) and the Rt. Hon. Matthew Hancock MP (as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) The following made affirmation, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office: the Rt. Hon. David Gauke MP (as Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) and the Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid MP (as Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government). Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council. The Rt. Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of The Queen before the Council. After the Council the Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP had an audience of Her Majesty and took the Oath of Office, kissed hands on appointment and received the Seals of Office as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended a Reception followed by a performance at the Royal Exchange Theatre Company, St. Anne's Square, Manchester, and was received by Ms. Susan Hodgkiss (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester). The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Army Music, this afternoon held a Meeting.

    The Princess Royal this morning visited the Cornish Cheese Company, Knowle Farm, Upton Cross, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho). Her Royal Highness, Patron, Restorative Justice Council, this afternoon attended a celebration of restorative practices in Cornwall's schools, in Truro Cathedral and was received by Mr. Peter Davies (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall). The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, afterwards visited a Save the Children shop at 1 Fore Street, Constantine, Cornwall.
