    Balmoral Castle

    Pipe Major Richard Grisdale was received by The Queen this morning when Her Majesty decorated him with the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

    The Queen held a Council via video link at 11.30 a.m..

    There were present: the Rt. Hon. Jacob Rees-Mogg MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. James Cleverly MP (Minister of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Middle East and North Africa), the Baroness Evans of Bowes Park (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal) and the Rt. Hon. Elizabeth Truss MP (Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs).

    The Rt. Hon. Sir Colin Birss and the Rt. Hon. Sir Mark Warby were sworn in as members of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Stewart Hosie MP and the Rt. Hon. Dame Elisabeth Laing made affirmation as members of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Elizabeth Truss MP took the Oath of Office as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office.

    Mrs. Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

    The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the Mammalian Cell Culture Expansion at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies UK Limited, Belasis Avenue, Billingham, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs. Susan Snowdon).

    His Royal Highness afterwards officially opened the Globe, 153A High Street, Stockton-on-Tees.

    The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Milburngate, Framwelgate Waterside, Durham.

    The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Air Commodore, this morning attended a Parade at Royal Air Force Waddington, Lincoln, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Toby Dennis).

    His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Headquarters of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, off Sleaford Road, Lincoln.

    The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall was present at a Memorial Service for Sir John James (formerly Secretary and Keeper of the Records, Duchy of Cornwall) which was held in St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London SW1, this afternoon.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, with The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this evening attended the World Première of "James Bond: No Time to Die" at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7, and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

    The Duchess of Cornwall, President, this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres to mark the Charity's Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

    Her Royal Highness, Patron, Silver Stories, later held a Meeting with Mr. David Carney-Haworth and Mrs. Elisabeth Carney-Haworth (Chief Executives) via telephone.

    The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Imjin 70 Co-ordination Group, accompanied by The Duchess of Gloucester, this afternoon attended a Service in Gloucester Cathedral to commemorate the Seventieth Anniversary of the Battle of Imjin River and, having been received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr. Edward Gillespie), afterwards took the salute at the March Past of those who attended the Service.
