    By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Dominik Furgler at 16-18 Montagu Place, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Swiss Confederation to the Court of St. James's.

    By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps later called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene at 2 Bessborough Gardens, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Lithuania to the Court of St. James's.

    By command of The Queen, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr. Daniel Mulhall at 17 Grosvenor Place, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Ireland to the Court of St. James's.

    By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards called upon His Excellency Mr. Lauri Bambus at 44 Queen's Gate, London SW7, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Estonia to the Court of St. James's.

    By command of The Queen, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps subsequently called upon Her Excellency Mrs. Elizabeth Harding at 92 Ledbury Road, London W11, in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of the Gambia to the Court of St. James's.

    The Queen arrived at Balmoral Castle today, was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. James Ingleby) and then inspected the Royal Guard found by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

    The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Lord Petre (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) at the Memorial Service for the Lord Braybrooke (formerly Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) which was held at St. Mary's Church, Saffron Walden, Essex, this afternoon

    The Duke of York was represented by Colonel Roger Burgess.

    The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by the Right Reverend and Rt. Hon. the Lord Williams of Oystermouth.

    Buckingham Palace

    The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1, to celebrate the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of Canadian Confederation and were received by the Governor-General of Canada (His Excellency Mr. David Johnston) and the High Commissioner for Canada in London (Her Excellency Mrs. Janice Charette).

    Her Majesty, escorted by the High Commissioner, and His Royal Highness, escorted by Governor-General, viewed artefacts and displays celebrating "Canada 150", listened to a musical performance and met guests including young people, business leaders, entrepreneurs, artists and members of First Nation communities.

    The Queen subsequently unveiled a Jubilee Walkway Panel outside Canada House.

    The Rt. Hon. Anne Milton MP was received by The Queen this afternoon when she delivered up her Wand of Office upon relinquishing her appointment as Treasurer of the Household.

    Mr. Julian Smith MP was received by The Queen and delivered up his Wand of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Vice-Chamberland of the Household when Her Majesty handed to him his Wand of Office as Treasurer of the Household.

    Mr. Christopher Heaton-Harris MP was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Vice-Chamberlain of the Household when Her Majesty handed to him his Wand of Office.

    The Rt. Hon. Melvyn Stride MP was received by The Queen when he delivered up his Wand of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Comptroller of the Household.

    Mr. Christopher Pincher MP was received by The Queen upon his appointment as Comptroller of the Household when Her Majesty handed to him his Wand of Office.

    The Vice-Chamberlain of the Household was received in audience by The Queen and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.

    The Queen held a Council at 5.30 p.m..

    There were present: the Rt. Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Alun Cairns MP (Secretary of State for Wales), the Rt. Hon. Gregory Clark MP (Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) and the Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid MP (Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government).

    The Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer MP made affirmation as a member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Karen Bradley MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

    Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

    The Queen today received the Bishop of Sheffield (the Right Reverend Dr. Peter Wilcox) who did homage upon his appointment.

    Her Majesty received the Bishop of Sodor and Man (the Right Reverend Peter Eagles) who did homage upon his appointment.

    The Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oath.

    The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

    The Queen, Duke of Lancaster received Sir Mark Hudson (Chairman of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster) and Mr. Nathan Thompson (Chief Executive).

    The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty's Ambassadors: Mrs. Sally Axworthy (the Holy See), Mr. Ross Denny (the Republic of Costa Rica), Mr. Moazzam Malik (the Republic of Indonesia) and Mr. Richard Morris (the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal).

    Dr. Michael Axworthy, Mrs. Denny, Mrs. Malik and Mrs. Morris were also received by Her Majesty.

    His Excellency Mr. David Johnston was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Governor-General of Canada.

    Mrs. Johnston was also received by Her Majesty.

    The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Royal Mersey Yacht Club, this morning received Mr. Michael Blaylock upon relinquishing his appointment as Commodore and Mr. John Collingwood upon assuming the appointment.

    His Royal Highness, formerly Chancellor, University of Salford, received a delegation on the occasion of the University's Fiftieth Anniversary.

    The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, Royal Institute of Navigation, this afternoon presented Awards at the Annual Meeting, the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7.

    By command of The Queen, Mr. Julian Evans (Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Claus Grube at 55 Sloane Street, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Denmark to the Court of St. James's.

    By command of Her Majesty, the Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr. Patrick Engelberg at 27 Wilton Crescent, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Court of St. James's.
