    Buckingham Palace

    The Queen this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Drapers' Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2, to celebrate the Seventieth Anniversary of Her Majesty's appointment as a Freeman and was received by the Lord Mayor, Locum Tenens (Sir David Wotton) and the Master (Mr. William Charnley).

    The Queen was elected to the Court and met Wardens and Court Assistants.

    The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, London Youth, this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the Charity's One Hundred and Thirtieth Anniversary.

    Buckingham Palace

    The Queen was represented by the Very Reverend Professor Iain Torrance (Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland) at the Funeral of the Very Reverend James Weatherhead (Extra Chaplain to Her Majesty in Scotland) which was held in St. Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh, this afternoon.

    Buckingham Palace

    The Queen this morning arrived in Manchester and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).

    Her Majesty drove to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Oxford Road, Manchester, and was received by the Chairman of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Mrs. Katherine Cowell).

    The Queen toured the Children's Hospital, escorted by the Chairman, and met children recovering from injuries sustained in the terrorist attack this week at Manchester Arena and their parents.

    Her Majesty also met nursing and other members of staff.

    The Queen, Duke of Lancaster, today visited the Duchy of Lancaster Estate in Staffordshire and was received this afternoon at Tatenhill Airfield by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr. Ian Dudson), the Chief Executive and Clerk to the Council, the Duchy of Lancaster (Mr. Nathan Thompson) and the Mayor of East Staffordshire Borough Council (Councillor Simon Gaskin).

    Her Majesty visited farms on the Needham Estate and, having been received by the Chairman of the Council, the Duchy of Lancaster (Mr. Mark Hudson), met tenants and viewed a horse race, before being received by the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (the Rt. Hon. Sir Patrick McLoughlin) and meeting Members of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster.

    The Queen viewed Montbéliarde cattle and was afterwards entertained to a Luncheon for tenants of the Estate by the Chairman of the Council.

    The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, today attended Receptions at Hillsborough Castle for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Mrs. Fionnuala Jay-O'Boyle).

    The Earl of Lytton (Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning upon the Arrival of The King of Norway and welcomed His Majesty on behalf of The Queen.

    The Queen, as Sovereign of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, with The Duke of Edinburgh, Grand Master, drove to St. Paul's Cathedral this morning to attend a Service to celebrate the Centenary of the Order.

    Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received at the Dean's Door by the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor and at the top of the steps by the Dean of St. Paul's, the Chapter and the Lay Officials of the Order.

    Her Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

    Lieutenant General the Rt. Hon. Sir Jeremiah Mateparae was received by The Queen today upon his appointment as High Commissioner for New Zealand in London.

    Lady Mateparae was also received by Her Majesty.

    Ms. Nicola Benedetti was received by The Queen when Her Majesty presented her with The Queen's Medal for Music.

    Ms. Judith Weir (Master of The Queen's Music) was present.

    The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke of York and Princess Eugenie of York were present.

    Her Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The Queen's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

    The Bands of the Coldstream Guards and the Parachute Regiment played selections of music during the afternoon.
