The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning received Mr. Mark Dowie (Chief Executive) at Kensington Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The King this morning received representatives of the Weston Girls (a group of fifty Canadian women who visited the United Kingdom in 1953 to witness the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II).

His Majesty this afternoon received Senior Representatives from His Majesty's former and newly appointed Military Affiliations.

The King later visited the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom (the Lord Leggatt) and Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley (Lord Mayor Locum Tenens).

His Majesty toured the Royal Courts, escorted by the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales (the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill), and met members of staff before viewing exhibits from the library.

The King met Diversity and Community Relations Judges and Magistrates and school pupils who had participated in a mock trial.

The Queen, Patron, Emmaus UK, this afternoon visited Emmaus Bristol, Backfields House, Upper York Street, St. Paul's, Bristol, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. Peaches Golding).

Her Majesty, Patron, the Children's Hospice South West, afterwards visited Charlton Farm Children's Hospice, Charlton Farm Road, Charlton Drive, Bristol, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mr. Mohammed Saddiq).

The King was represented by the Earl of Dalhousie at the Funeral of Lady Penn (formerly Lady in Waiting to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother) which was held in Perth Cathedral this afternoon.

The Queen was represented by Mr. James Hambro.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mr. Stephen Leckie

The Duke of Kent was represented by Brigadier Sir Melville Jameson.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mr. Robert Balfour.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception given by His Excellency Professor Piotr Wilczek at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, 47, Portland Place, London W1.

The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys) was represented by Brigadier Sir Melville Jameson (former Commanding Officer, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards) at the Thanksgiving Service for Lieutenant Colonel Michael Blacklock (former Commanding Officer, The Royal Scots Greys) which was held in St. James' Church, Station Road, Muthill, Crieff, Perthshire, today.
