    Buckingham Palace

    His Excellency Mr. Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Hungary to the Court of St. James's. Her Excellency Ms. Amari Mandika Wijewardene was received in audience by Her Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in London. Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present. Mr. Simon Collis was received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ms. Huda Mujarkech was also received by Her Majesty. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy at which The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy were present. The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, today attended Receptions at St. James's Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen, this morning presented The Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education at Buckingham Palace and afterwards Their Royal Highnesses gave a Reception. The Prince of Wales this afternoon received Emeritus Chief Rabbi the Lord Sacks. His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Meeting for The Prince of Wales' International Sustainability Unit at Lancaster House, London SW1. The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, later received the Chairman of Mosaic and a delegation from Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at the Worshipful Company of Brewers, Brewers' Hall, Aldermanbury Square, London EC2.

    The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the offices of the "Evening Standard" newspaper, Northcliffe House, 2 Derry Street, London W8. The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended a Meeting on "Putting Health at the centre of the Climate Change debate" at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1. His Royal Highness, President, this evening attended the Business in the Community Leadership Summit at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer). The Prince of Wales later gave a Dinner for the Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia at Clarence House. The Duchess of Cornwall this morning officially opened the new offices of the children's newspaper, "First News", 58 Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1. Her Royal Highness, Patron, this evening held a Recital for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at Clarence House.

    The Prince of Wales this morning departed Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz Airport, Saudi Arabia, for Qatar. His Royal Highness was received this afternoon by The Amir of the State of Qatar. The Prince of Wales later departed Hamad International Airport for the United Arab Emirates and was received upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport by The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and subsequently attended a Meeting with His Highness. The Prince of Wales this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from the United Arab Emirates. Mr. James Bowden, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Lieutenant Colonel David Bevan were in attendance. The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, First Story, this morning visited Holland Park School, Airlie Gardens, Campden Hill Road, London W8, and was received by Lady Arnold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London). Her Royal Highness, Patron, Arthritis Research UK, afterwards visited the Inpatient Adolescent Ward, University College Hospital, 235 Euston Road, London NW1, followed by the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology, Rayne Building, University College London, Gower Street, London WC1, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer). The Duchess of Cornwall, Commodore-in-Chief, Naval Chaplaincy Service, this afternoon received the Venerable Ian Wheatley upon assuming his appointment as Chaplain of the Fleet.

    The Prince of Wales, accompanied by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (President and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities), this afternoon visited the Islamic Fort and Hijaz Railway Station and viewed the Nabatean ruins at Mad'ain Saleh, Saudi Arabia. Their Royal Highnesses later viewed excavation work at the Lihyan site, Al Khraiba. The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, and Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud afterwards visited Al Ula Village. Their Royal Highnesses this evening witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and the Turquoise Mountain Foundation. The Prince of Wales later attended a Dinner given by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at a Desert Camp. The Duchess of Cornwall, Royal Colonel, today visited 4th Battalion The Rifles during a training day at Bulford Barracks, Salisbury, Wiltshire. Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, this evening attended a Reception at Pearson plc, 80 Strand, London WC2.

    The Prince of Wales this morning departed Kuwait for Saudi Arabia and was received upon arrival at King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, by the Governor of Riyadh (Prince Faisal bin Bander). His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Meeting with The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Al Yamama Palace, Riyadh. The Prince of Wales was received subsequently by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and remained to Luncheon. His Royal Highness later attended a Meeting with Prince Miteb bin Abdullah (Minister for the National Guard) at the Conference Palace, Riyadh. The Prince of Wales this evening attended a Dinner with Prince Al Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Riyadh.

    The Duke of York this morning visited King Abdullah Economic City visitors' centre, Saudi Arabia. His Royal Highness later met young entrepreneurs at the World Academy, King Abdullah Economic City. The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch and Live Pitching event held by King Abdullah Economic City Start Ups in partnership with Pitch on Tour for Saudi and British entrepreneurs at the Bay La Sun Hotel. His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by Khalid Ali Reza (Chief Executive Officer, Xenel Group) at the Ali Reza Residence.
