The Duchess of Cambridge visits Luxembourg at the request of Her Majesty's Government.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited Luxembourg on 11 May 2017 at the request of Her Majesty's Government.
The Duchess began her visit at the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art (MUDAM), where she toured exhibitions by by British artists Sir Tony Cragg and Darren Almond.
Later, Her Royal Highness visited the Place Clairefontaine to tour a cycling themed festival, which celebrates the shared UK and Luxembourg passion for the sport.
The Duchess also visited Dräi Eechelen Museum to tour the 1867 Commemoration Exhibition. The new exhibition reveals how the dismantling of Luxembourg’s fortifications laid the foundation for the transformation of Luxembourg into an open and outward- looking city and country.
The Duchess joined the official commemoration of the 1867 Treaty of London, which confirmed Luxembourg’s independence and neutrality.
This was The Duchess' first official visit to Luxembourg.
