The Duchess of Cornwall carried out engagements in Brixton, London, today and met young people who make use of valuable commnunity initiatives.

Her Royal Highness first visited Ebony Horse Club to meet children, volunteers, staff and horses at their stables. Her Royal Highness toured the yard and then watched an after-school lesson in the arena.

A keen rider herself, The Duchess has been President of the Club since 2009.

During the pandemic, Ebony Horse Club has remained in regular contact with families through their weekly virtual sessions, enabling children to 'visit' competition venues as well as take part in online quizzes, art competitions and a talent show!

With adaptions in place, Ebony Horse Club was the first youth charity to open up after lockdown in time for the start of the summer holidays in South London.

Following this, The Duchess visited neighbouring boxing club, Dwaynamics. The club offers services designed to steer at-risk youth away from gang-culture, knife crime and gun violence. They also offer a support network and services across the community.

During today's visit, Her Royal Highness toured the facilities and met staff and students.
