The Duke of Cambridge attends the World Premiere of Blue Planet II

The Duke of Cambridge has attended the World Premiere screening of the BBC's Blue Planet II at the British Film Institute IMAX cinema.
The Duke of Cambridge joined Sir David Attenborough, composer Hans Zimmer and local school children for the special event, which celebrated the show's potential to inspire the next generation of marine conservationists.
Before the screening, an interactive marine-themed experiential was set up, so that local children could get involved in a series of learning activities.
The Duke joined them as they took part in quizzes, and were should some of the special technology used to the film the series.
It took four years to make this series of Blue Planet, which took 125 expeditions, visiting 39 countries, and have filmed off every continent and across every ocean.
The screening started with a prequel, which featured a unique musical collaboration between Radiohead and Hans Zimmer.
This landmark natural history series Blue Planet II will take viewers on a revelatory journey into the greatest, yet least known part of our planet – our oceans.
In recent years, our knowledge of what goes on beneath the waves have been transformed and using cutting-edge breakthroughs in science and technology to explore this final frontier, Blue Planet II will reveal otherworldly places and extraordinary new animal behaviours.
