The Duke of Cambridge visits some of Britain's world-class vehicle manufacture sites

The Duke's visit to the East Midlands focused on the world-class British vehicle manufacture, research and development that takes place in the region.
Today The Duke of Cambridge visited the East Midlands to learn more about the world-class British vehicle manufacture, research and development that takes place in the region.
At Triumph Motorcycles, The Duke toured the manufacturing plant which produces around 67,000 bikes per year.
The Duke even took one of the latest Triumph models for a test drive, before look around the Visitor Experience Centre which showcases some of the most Famous Triumph bikes in history, including Steve McQueen's green bike from The Great Escape.
Before leaving The Duke officially opened the Visitor Experience Centre, unveiling a commemorative fuel tank.
The Duke then went on to visit the MIRA Technology Park, where he had the chance to experience some of the new technology that has been developed on site, including driverless vehicles.
The Duke met apprentices being supported by the MIRA Academy and ex-service personnel that now work at the technology park.
