The Duke of Cambridge visits the Spitalfields Crypt Trust

The Duke of Cambridge has visited the Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT), a charity and social enterprise based in Shoreditch which provides a holistic recovery service to those dealing with complex drug and alcohol addictions, and often homelessness.
Founded in 1965, SCT provides a range of tailored services to support men and women with their addiction recovery journeys.
The charity's services address an individual's mental and physical health, their employment and housing needs, personal relationships, and career aspirations.
The Duke of Cambridge started his visit at the charity's social enterprises: Paper & Cup, a coffee-bookshop, and Restoration Station, a vintage furniture shop and refurbishment service.
Both provide a supportive training ground for those in the later stages of recovery and rehabilitation to start work again.
The SCT homeless drop-in centre provides hot food and drinks, 16 hostel rooms and advice about long term help including a personal development and training centre.
Here students can attend courses in basic life skills, or begin a vocational hobby such as gardening or artwork.
