The Duke of Gloucester visits the community in Ledbury

The Duke of Gloucester has spent a day in Herefordshire, visiting the local market, meeting members of community organisations and touring local businesses.
The Duke started his visit in the village of Ledbury, where he sampled some of Herefordshire's best produce at the Country Market.

HRH then visited the village's newly restored Master's House, and was taken on a tour around Ledbury Town Centre, meeting children from the local school. The Duke also met members of local community organisations, such as the Army Cadets, Community Action Ledbury and the Royal British Legion, and paid a visit to the library.
The Duke then visited Salters Hill, a centre which has been supporting adults with disabilities in the area for over 35 years. Salters Hill provides services from support in the home to creative learning projects. During his visit, The Duke saw some of these projects in action, and was able to speak with people supported by the centre.
At the end of his visit, The Duke visited Bevisol, a drinks manufacturer based in the Ledbury area. The Duke toured the factory, which produces over 100 million litres each year.

Chris Newall, Managing Director of Bevisol, said: "His Royal Highness immediately put everyone at ease. He was very interested in what we were doing and enjoyed meeting our staff. It was a wonderful day for Bevisol.”
