The Earl and Countess of Wessex and Forfar spend the day in Forfar

In 2019, Queen Elizabeth granted Their Royal Highnesses the additional title of Earl and Countess of Forfar, and they have made regular visits to the town since.
The Countess started the day at Forfar Early Learning Centre, new purpose-built early learning and childcare centre within Angus.
Her Royal Highness had a tour of the centre, which has fully equipped sensory rooms and a wrap around garden providing free flow outdoor play.
The visit finished with The Countess unveiling a plaque to officially open the centre, which is at the heart of the local Forfar community, where children can learn together in a safe, nurturing and fun environment.
Meanwhile, The Earl was at Ogilvy Distillery, which is Scotland’s first vodka dedicated distillery.
His Royal Highness was shown around the farm, which has been farmed by the same family for over 100 years, to see where the potatoes for the vodka are grown.
Their Royal Highnesses then met some members of the local community to thank them for their work following the death of Queen Elizabeth.
At Lowson Memorial Church, The Earl and Countess the joined a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
Following the Service, Their Royal Highnesses then met some of the 200 members of the congregation.
