The Earl of Wessex, Royal Colonel of The Rifles 2nd Battalion, today attended a Graduation Parade at Uniacke Barracks in Harrogate.

Congratulations to the Junior Soldiers who completed their training! 

The Royal Regiment of Scotland Pipe Major piped The Earl of Wessex to the parade square before His Royal Highness inspected the front rank, side-lines soldiers at the rear of the parade.

In 2007, The Earl of Wessex became Royal Colonel of 2nd Battalion The Rifles following the reorganisation of the Infantry. He regularly visits the Battalion at their base in Northern Ireland and has visited them on several occasions while on operational duties, including in Afghanistan.
