The Earl of Wessex visits Maidenhead Synagogue to open their new Community Centre.

The Earl of Wessex was greeted by Dr Jonathan Romain MBE, the Rabbi at Maidenhead Synagogue, as he arrived to meet staff and volunteers, and to attend a prayer service.

The Earl was given a tour of the Synagogue by the Rabbi, where he met lunch co-ordinators at the Synagogue. The lunch co-ordinators work tirelessly to provide regular lunches for the elderly and the homeless in the area.

His Royal Highness took the opportunity to drop in on the Synagogue's local Kosher Shop, and meet members of the congregation before joining a service conducted by Dr Romain.

The Earl then officially opened the Synagogue's brand new Community Centre, before joining members of the congregation for tea.
