The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh attended a service in the school's Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel before watching a College Parade, to reflect the longstanding military connection.
Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh visited Pangbourne College to celebrate the school's centenary.
The school was founded in 1917 as a training college for officers of the merchant navy and to this day practices Ceremonial traditions such as parades with a modern focus on the development of leadership skills.
The Queen's Gold Medal is awarded every year to the Chief Cadet Captain of the College. This year Her Majesty presented two students, Ellen White and Fred Taucher with their medals.
Both students sung in the church choir during a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate the century, held in The Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel. The Queen officially opened the chapel on her third visit to Pangbourne College in 2000.
The Queen also met Commander Keith Evans, the oldest (known) living Old Pangbournian. He was at Nautical College Pangbourne, as it was then known, from 1933-1937.
