His Majesty held a Council at 4.15 p.m..

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Alexander Chalk MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice), the Rt. Hon. Oliver Dowden MP (Deputy Prime Minister, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Secretary of State in the Cabinet Office) and the Rt. Hon. Gregory Hands MP (Minister for Trade Policy and Minister for London).

At the Council, The King pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of England (other than Cornwall and those in the Duchy of Lancaster) and Wales.

After the Council, the Rt. Hon. Oliver Dowden MP had an audience of The King when His Majesty pricked the List of High Sheriffs for the Counties of the Duchy of Lancaster.

Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt. Hon. Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of The King before the Council.

Later, the Rt. Hon. Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty.

The Queen, Honorary Member, the Jockey Club, today attended the Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr. Edward Gillespie).

The Queen, President, the WOW Foundation, this morning held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the Conclusion of the Women of the World Girls Festival Tour.

The Queen of the Belgians and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

Mrs. Josephine Wadley was received by The King this morning when His Majesty invested her with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen this afternoon attended the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration in Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

The Prince of Wales, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were also present.

Her Majesty this evening attended a Reception given by the Commonwealth Secretary-General (the Baroness Scotland of Asthal) at Marlborough House, London SW1.

The King was represented by Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer (Extra Equerry to The King) at a Service of Thanksgiving for Captain Ronald Johnson (World War II veteran) which was held at St. Andrew's Church, Shrivenham, Oxfordshire, this afternoon.

His Excellency Mr. Nourredine Yazid was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Court of St. James's.
