'The Not Forgotten' Christmas Party with The Princess Royal

The annual Christmas reception for ‘The Not Forgotten’ ex-servicemen and women took place at St James’s Palace yesterday.
The Not Forgotten Association support over 10,000 vulnerable members of the Armed Forces each year, providing injured or sick veterans with a range of entertainment and activities throughout the year.
The charity was founded in 1919 by American soprano Marta Cunningham. In 1921, King George V and Queen Mary inaugurated the annual Not Forgotten Garden Parties and Christmas Parties at Buckingham Palace.
Princess Mary became the first Royal Patron of The Not Forgotten Association, a role she held until her death in 1965, when HRH The Duchess of Kent took over as Patron. She was then succeeded by The Princess Royal in 2000.

Yesterday's party included Festive cheer, with music, cakes, tea and Christmas crackers.
