Prince Harry to visit Toronto and Florida

As previously announced, Prince Harry will travel to Toronto and Florida in May to attend events for the Invictus Games and his charity Sentebale.
He will visit Toronto on 2nd May to attend three engagements marking the official launch of the countdown to the third Invictus Games which will be held in the city in September 2017. The third Invictus Games will be held in Toronto from 26 – 30 September 2017 and will include over 600 competitors from 16 nations competing in 12 sports events.
Prince Harry will attend a launch ceremony at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, where he will join dignitaries and members of the Canadian Invictus Team to welcome the 2017 Games and celebrate the continuation of their legacy in Canada. Prince Harry will be among those delivering speeches at the event.
He will then visit the Ryerson's Mattamy Athletic Centre to watch a high-energy sledge hockey demonstration match with the Canadian national team, to highlight the introduction of the sport to the 2017 Invictus Games. During the event, he will meet members of the teams and take part in the ceremonial puck drop. He will also deliver some short remarks to the audience before watching the match.
Later in the afternoon, Prince Harry will attend a reception at the office of Lieutenant Governor of Ontario where he will meet the organisers and supporters of the Invictus Games Toronto 2017.
From Toronto, Prince Harry will travel to Florida to take part in the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup on 4th May, hosted at Valiente Polo Farm in Wellington. The annual event will raise funds for Prince Harry's charity Sentebale to support vulnerable children and young people living with HIV in Lesotho and southern Africa.
From here, Prince Harry will travel to Orlando, where he will be based for the Invictus Games between 5 – 13 May. In Orlando, Prince Harry will spend the majority of his time meeting Invictus competitors and their families from each competing nation and watching all of the sports competitions across the ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex. He will also attend the opening and closing Ceremonies, delivering speeches at both ceremonies.
In addition to the sport events, Prince Harry will attend a series of engagements connected to the Invictus Games, to help highlight the vital work that a number of organisations are undertaking in the US and the UK to support wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women. These events include:
- A symposium on Invisible Wounds, presented by the George W. Bush Institute. Prince Harry will join President Bush, and Invictus Games competitors from the UK and US to discuss the transition of veterans and their families to civilian life. The symposium will focus discussions around raising awareness about the invisible wounds of war, including Traumatic Brain Injury Post-Traumatic Stress and other psychological health conditions.
- An event for the Royal Foundation's Endeavour Fund, hosted by The American Friends of the Royal Foundation.
- An Invictus Games Foundation Reception.
