The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visit Gloucestershire Royal Hospital's COVID-19 Vaccination Hub

Published

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today visited Gloucestershire Royal Hospital’s Covid-19 Vaccination Hub in support of the recent vaccination roll-out programme.

This follows The Prince and The Duchess’s visit to the hospital in June, following the end of the first lockdown.

Their Royal Highnesses were taken on a tour of the centre by Deborah Lee, Chief Executive of the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust, and Chief Nurse Professor Steve Hams, who is managing the vaccination programme in Gloucestershire. They were introduced to NHS staff at vaccination stations and heard about the success of the programme so far.

The Vaccination Hub started vaccinating frontline health and care workers last week and to date has vaccinated over 1,124 NHS staff across the county, including care homes.
