Published 11 May 2016

The Prince of Wales visited Fortnum & Mason in London today to celebrate the Northern Ireland Year of Food and Drink.

His Royal Highness toured the department store in Piccadilly and learned about some of the Northern Irish produce on sale from food retailers and staff. The Prince was accompanied by the actor James Nesbitt, who is from Ballymena, and is an Ambassador for Northern Ireland food.

The Prince met food and drink producers including Glens of Antrim Potatoes, Abernathy Butter and Northbound Brewery. After trying some of the produce on offer and meeting retailers, His Royal Highness joined a reception for staff and supporters.

Northern Ireland's Year of Food and Drink 2016 celebrates the epic landscapes, traditions and people that make the country's food heritage unique. This celebration of Northern Irish food and drink can be experienced at Fortnum & Mason, a Royal Warrant holder, until 19 May 2016.
