The Princess Royal attends the 20th Anniversary Reception for Transaid

Earlier this week, The Princess Royal as Patron of Transaid, attended their 20th anniversary showcase event at Mail Rail – The Postal Museum, which was once the hub of logistics activity for Royal Mail in London.

The charity’s work focuses around a set of beliefs that every driver should be able to go out for a day’s work without the fear they may not come home due to dangerous vehicles or a lack of training; that every family should be able to access emergency health services; and that every community should be able to build skills and transform their opportunity to make a living.

Founded by Save the Children, The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and its Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, the international development organisation shares 25 years’ worth of expertise in 23 countries with partners and governments – empowering people to build the skills they need to transform their own lives.

The event highlighted Transaid’s many achievements in sub-Saharan Africa and HRH spoke about the charity’s successes, visited the exhibition and met corporate supporters, trustees, ambassadors and staff that have all contributed to its success. Find out more here: http://www.transaid.org/
