The Princess Royal hosts the Not Forgotten Association's annual Christmas tea party

The Princess Royal is Patron of The Not Forgotten Association (NFA), a military charity who support 10,000 wounded, injured or sick servicing and ex-service men and women.
The Association provide entertainment and recreation, such as the Christmas Tea Party at St James's Palace and the summer Garden Party, held in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

The NFA also provide televisions and TV licenses to ex-service men and women who are housebound or have limited mobility and arrange all kinds of outings for members throughout the year.
The Christmas Tea Party has been held at St James's Palace since 1921 when The NFA's first Royal Patron, Princess Mary, was appointed and invited 600 wounded servicemen for afternoon tea.

In December 1923 The Queen's parents, at the time The Duke and Duchess of York, attended the NFA Christmas tea party where they cut cakes for the wounded servicemen and nurses.
The Princess Royal has been Patron since 2000 and along with other members of the Royal Family regularly attends the Christmas Tea and summer Garden Party, meeting many members of the association.
