The Princess Royal returns to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as Patron of the Foundation for FutureLondon

The Princess Royal was welcomed to the Park by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Mr Kenneth Olisa OBE, and Sir William Castell, LVO, Chairman of the Foundation for FutureLondon.

HRH has accepted the Patronage of the Foundation for Future London, the charity created to help realise the potential of the Park. The Foundation has been established to support the Olympicopolis project, which is working with a wide range of partners to bring forward the development. World-class institutions moving to Stratford include Victoria and Albert Museum, University College London, the London College of Fashion, and Sadler’s Wells.

HRH met with children from Gainsborough Primary School and talked through design plans for Olympicopolis with the scheme's architects, Allies & Morrison. The Princess then visited The Orbit where she saw a dance and spoken work performance by by artists Nat Nye, Valerie Ebuwa and Louis Ducasse from Sadlers Wells, viewed the work of students from London College of Fashion, and met the Young Poet Laureate for London 2014–2015, Aisling Fahey.
