The Princess Royal visits Britannia Royal Naval College

The Princess Royal takes the salute at Britannia Royal Naval College today as 154 Officer Cadets celebrated the end of training at Lord High Admiral’s Divisions.
Lord High Admiral’s Divisions is the most prestigious parade in the Britannia Royal Naval College calendar. The Princess Royal was representing her father, The Duke of Edinburgh, who was conferred as Lord High Admiral in 2011 by Her Majesty The Queen on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
The Princess Royal reviewed the Parade, marking the formal commissioning of Naval Officers who have completed their 30 week Initial Naval Training Officer course.
Her Royal Highness last visited Dartmouth for a Passing Out Parade in 2012 and we are honoured that she was able to join us this year as the Lord High Admiral’s representative
The Princess Royal has a long association with the Royal Navy. She holds the rank of Admiral as Chief Commandant for Women in the Royal Navy and has special relationships with HMS Talent and HMS Albion. The Princess Royal is also Commodore-in-Chief for Portsmouth.
