The Princess Royal visits Liverpool Wastewater Treatment Works

The Princess Royal opens United Utilities' Liverpool Wastewater Treatment Works.
On October, 4, 1991 Liverpool Wastewater Treatment Works was opened by The Princess Royal; nearly 25 years later Her Royal Highness returned to open the new state-of-the-art extension to the existing treatment works.
The extension to Liverpool treatment works means we will be able to keep the River Mersey clean well into the next century
The Princess Royal met schoolchildren visiting the Wastewater Treatment Works, before unveiling a plaque to formally open the new site.
