The Queen opened the new headquarters of the Metropolitan Police on what Commissioner Cressida Dick called, 'A happy day for the Met.'

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh toured the new building on Victoria Embankment and learnt how it has helped changed the culture and outlook of the staff as they take pride in their new surroundings.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness spoke to officers involved in a huge variety of police work, from dog handling, to forensics, to counter-terrorism.
