Saturday 11 June

The Countess of Wessex attended the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society Show in Windsor Great Park.

Sunday 12 June

The Duke of Kent attended a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving commemorating the Fortieth Anniversary of the Falkland Islands Campaign at the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel at Pangbourne College.

The Princess Royal also sent a video message to mark the anniversary.

Monday 13 June

The annual Garter Day Service was held at St George’s Chapel. 

The Order of the Garter is most senior Order of British Chivalry, and was founded by Edward III in 1348.

Today, the Order includes The Queen, who is Sovereign of the Garter, several senior Members of the Royal Family, and twenty-four knights chosen in recognition of their work. 

Knights of the Garter are chosen personally by the Sovereign to honour those who have held public office, who have contributed in a particular way to national life or who have served the Sovereign personally. 

A key element of Garter Day is the investing of new Companions with the Order’s Insignia. In 2022, The Duchess of Cornwall was invested as a Royal Lady Knight of the Garter.

Tuesday 14 June

It was the first day of the annual Royal Ascot meeting, and following a three-year gap, the famous Royal Procession took place.

In a tradition that started in 1825 in the reign of the King George IV, members of the Royal Family tradition travel down the racecourse in Ascot Landau carriages.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Grenfell Tower Memorial Service.

Marking five-years since the tragedy, Their Royal Highnesses laid a wreath in tribute to the 72 residents who lost their lives.

Wednesday 15 June

The Duke of Cambridge, as President of the Football Association, visited England’s National Football Centre to meet the England’s Women’s team ahead of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022.

It was day two of Royal Ascot!

Thursday 16 June

The Duchess of Cambridge and The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood hosted a roundtable to discuss the research led by the Centre into early childhood development.

The event brought together representatives from the early years sector, alongside Ministers and officials from the Department of Social Care and the Department for Education.

It was the third day of Royal Ascot.

The Princess Royal attended a reception at Fishmongers’ Hall to celebrate 750 years since the livery company received its Royal Charter.

Her Royal Highness is a ‘Court Member’ of the Fishmongers’ Company, which is one of the oldest and most ancient Livery Companies of the City of London.

Friday 17 June

It was the fourth day of Royal Ascot.

The Earl of Wessex, as Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games, visited Birmingham to see how preparations are going for the games which take place in July.

His Royal Highness got involved in some medal making in Jewellery quarter, met some young Duke of Edinburgh's Award participants as well opening the city's new Platinum Jubilee Walkway.

There was also a chance to meet some Commonwealth Games volunteers as give them a helping hand as they get the city ready for the Games.
