Sunday 19 February
The Prince of Wales, President, of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), and The Princess of Wales attended the British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
Monday 20 February
The King met Ukrainian military recruits who are currently being trained in the UK by the British Army and international partner forces.
The UK-led programme has trained over 10,000 recruits, providing them with infantry, survival, and first-aid skills.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex arrived in the Cayman Islands, where they attended a reception with the Island community and delivered a message from The King:
My wife and I recall with great fondness the warmth of our welcome to the Cayman Islands in 2019 and how inspiring it was to see at first-hand the remarkable development of the Territory over the past few decades.
Caymanians are rightly proud of their culture and heritage, their modern and dynamic community, together with their determination to protect their environment and grow their economy sustainably.
The Cayman Islands, like all of our Overseas Territories, are much-loved and integral members of the British Family and I look forward to strengthening yet further our relationship in the years ahead.
Tuesday 21 February
The King held two Credential Ceremonies, where His Excellency Mr. Pedro Antonio Serrano de Haro presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the European Union to the Court of St. James's.
Her Excellency Ms. Aichatou Boulama Kané was also received by His Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Niger to the Court of St. James's.
The Princess of Wales visited Oxford House Nursing Home in Slough to meet staff and residents and heard how delivering high-quality, patient-focused care is at the centre of the home’s work.
Her Royal Highness joined residents to mark Shrove Tuesday with some pancake making, as well as learning more about Oxford House’s use of cutting edge, interactive technology to stimulate and enrich the daily lives of residents.
As Patron of the Central Caribbean Marine Institute, The Earl visited the Coral Nursery on Little Cayman.
The institute works to conduct and facilitate research, education, and outreach that will sustain marine diversity for future generations.
As Global Ambassador for 100 Women in Finance, The Countess of Wessex joined a panel discussion on work to empower women.
Her Royal Highness also visited the YMCA Field of Dreams, to meet local community volunteers and join children in taking part in activities.
The Princess Royal hosted an Investiture Ceremony at Windsor Castle.
The Duke of Gloucester, as President of the Crown Agents Foundation, attended a reception and Slava Concert in support of Ukraine at Canada House.
Wednesday 22 February
The King visited the Felix Project, to meet the staff, volunteers and partner organisations who work to provide meals to some of London’s most vulnerable people.
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Founded in 2016 by Justin and Jane Byam Shaw, the charity was started to tackle two issues: food waste and food poverty.
The Project rescues high-quality surplus food from a wide range of sources including farms, food manufacturers and supermarkets, before distributing the food to around 1,000 community groups and schools across the capital.
His Majesty later had an Audience with the President of the German Bundestag, Ms. Bärbel Bas.
On Grand Cayman, The Earl of Wessex met the Cayman Island’s Regiment, Cadet Corps and Coast Guard.
The Cayman Island’s Regiment showed His Royal Highness equipment that can be deployed in the event of a natural disaster, including water purification technology and a field kitchen.
The Countess of Wessex visited the Annual Agricultural Show at Savannah, where she officially declared the show open, and met local farmers and vendors.
Their Royal Highnesses finished their time on Grand Cayman by presenting certificates to Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award holders.
The Earl and Countess were then officially welcomed to Turks and Caicos by the Governor, Mr Nigel Dakin, and the Premier, Honourable Charles Washington Misick.
The Princess Royal, as Patron of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), attended the London Region Annual Student Conference, and later visited the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care at King’s College London to mark their 10th Anniversary.
Her Royal Highness in her role as Commandant-in-Chief (Youth) of St John Ambulance, attended a Youth Award Ceremony at Hatfield House.
Thursday 23 February
The Queen Consort, joined by The King, hosted a reception at Clarence House for authors, members of the literary community and representatives of literacy charities to celebrate the second anniversary of The Reading Room.
Her Majesty also visited Boston Manor to re-open the site following its renovation to mark its 400th anniversary. The Queen Consort viewed some of the restored rooms, meeting architects, craftspeople, staff, apprentices, and volunteers.
There was also a chance to visit the new JCA | London Fashion Academy, which is located in building adjacent to Boston Manor.
Her Majesty met the co-founders, Jimmy Choo and Stephen Smith, and learnt more about the work of the Academy, which is one of the newest emerging universities in the country dedicated to fashion.
The Prince of Wales hosted an Investiture Ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness later visited the Passage to open officially open two of their recently refurbished accomodation projects.
His Royal Highness is Patron of the charity, which is working to combat street homelessness and ensure everyone has a place to call home.
On Providenciales, The Earl of Wessex visited the Ed Gartland Youth Centre to meet staff who are mentoring boys from the 100 Black Men and Boys to Men initiatives, which work to empower underprivileged young men and boys.
His Royal Highness also met athletes from the Turks and Caicos Islands who participated in the Commonwealth Games, before attending the annual basketball match and presenting the trophy.
At Blue Haven Marina, The Countess of Wessex learnt more about the work to protect the indigenous wildlife and barrier reef, as well as having the chance to see the last community of Rock Iguanas.
Her Royal Highness then attended a TCI Women’s Leadership and Empowerment event, where she was joined by women representing the public and private sector.
Their Royal Highnesses then travelled to the Bahamas, where they joined a Governor General’s Youth Awards (GGYA) Gold Award Ceremony.
The GGYA is The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award’s name in the Bahamas, which has been active on the Islands since 1987.
The Princess Royal as President of The Duke of Edinburgh's Commonwealth Study Conferences, attended a Global Leadership Seminar.
The Duke of Kent, Fellow of the Royal Society, presented medals at the Society’s Premier Awards Reception.
Friday 24 February
On the first anniversary of the conflict in Ukraine, The King sent a message:
It has now been a year that the people of Ukraine have suffered unimaginably from an unprovoked full-scale attack on their nation. They have shown truly remarkable courage and resilience in the face of such human tragedy.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex continued their visit to the Bahamas, where The Earl visited the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Base.
Meanwhile, The Countess visited the Willie Mae Pratt Centre for Girls. Her Royal Highness was able to meet residents who were taking part in Art Therapy, and heard how it has helped with rehabilitation, growth and development.
The Princess Royal, former President of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers presented The Princess Royal Award and the Royal Dairy Innovation Award.
