The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Six Nations Rugby Match between Wales and England at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.
His Royal Highness is Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, while The Princess of Wales is Patron of the Rugby Football Union.
Sunday 26 February
At the Stade de France in Paris, The Princess Royal, as Patron of Scottish Rugby Union, and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence attended the International Rugby Match between France and Scotland.
Monday 27 January
The King received the President of the European Commission, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen at Windsor Castle.
Earlier in the day, The Princess Royal had visited Specsavers Vision Labs in Kidderminster. Here, Her Royal Highness spoke with long-serving employees and unveiled a plaque.
Her Royal Highness later visited Green Lighting Limited and Agri-Tech Research Centre in Worcestershire.
Tuesday 28 January
In the morning, The Prince and Princess of Wales, as Joint Patrons of the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, visited Brynawel House Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Centre to hear first-hand about the work they do to support those struggling with the effects of drug and alcohol addiction.
Their Royal Highnesses later visited Aberavon Celtic Leisure Centre to meet local communities and hear about how sport and exercise can support mental health and wellbeing. Aberavon Leisure & Fitness Centre opened in 2016 and offers a range of physical activities to promote a healthy lifestyle for local people in Aberavon.
The final engagement of Their Royal Highnesses’ day saw The Prince and Princess visit the headquarters of the Wales Air Ambulance, of which The Prince of Wales was newly announced as Patron. The charity, which was founded in 2001, has completed over 43,000 missions and is on standby 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses met emergency workers, volunteers and supporters and will hear about their recent operations across Wales.
On behalf of The King, The Princess Royal held two Investitures at Windsor Castle.
Wednesday 1 March
On St David’s Day, The Prince and Princess of Wales presented Leeks to the Welsh Guards, for the first time since His Royal Highness was announced as Colonel of the Regiment, at Combermere Barracks.
Addressing the Regiment, His Royal Highness said:
I am both honoured and delighted to be standing here in front of you today as your new Colonel. At the same time, I’m sorry that my father couldn’t be here with us here today to say farewell, but I know he would talk of his fierce pride and admiration for you all, and of his own sadness to be moving on from an appointment he held so dear since 1975.
The King was Colonel of the Regiment from 1975-2022. His Majesty is now Colonel-in-Chief of the Regiments of Household Division.
Meanwhile, The Princess Royal, as Patron of the Royal Northern Agricultural Society, visited the Royal Northern Spring Show. In the evening, Her Royal Highness attended a Livery Civic Dinner at Fishmongers' Hall.
Thursday 2 March
Following the train crash in Northern Greece, His Majesty The King sent a message of condolence to the President of Greece.
To mark World Book Day, Her Majesty was filmed in conversation with the Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho. Together, they discussed a shared love of books, the importance and joy of reading in childhood.
Her Majesty said:
The more books you read, the more you are going to understand about different places, different cultures, different ways of life.
The Prince and Princess of Wales received The Crown Prince and Princess of Norway at Windsor Castle, before holding a meeting with Norwegian business delegates.
Meanwhile, The Princess Royal, President, this morning attended the National Equine Forum at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
In the evening, Her Royal Highness, as Patron of the Special Forces Club, attended the Annual Reception at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London.
Friday 3 March
It was announced that Their Majesties will visit France and Germany for their first State Visit of the new reign, from 26th March to 31st March 2023. The visit will celebrate Britain’s relationship with the two countries, marking our shared histories, culture and values. Read more here.
The Princess Royal held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace on behalf of The King, before later visiting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and an 80th anniversary concert for Tenovus Cancer Care.
