Saturday 30 July

Ahead of England playing at the Women’s Euro football final, there was some special music at Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace.

In Birmingham at the Commonwealth Games, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester watched the Men's 4000m Individual Pursuit, with The Duke presenting the winning athletes with their medals

Princess Alexandra was in Shrewsbury where, as Royal Honorary Colonel of the Royal Yeomanry she inspected the Regiment as they paraded.

Sunday 31 July

It was the Women’s Euro football final day, with The Duke of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte sending the Lionesses a good luck video.

His Royal Highness, who is Patron of the football association, presented the trophy to the victorious England team at Wembley Stadium.

The Queen sent the Lionesses a message of congratulations:

Earlier in the day, The Duchess of Cambridge, Royal Patron of the 1851 Trust, visited Plymouth to meet young people taking part in the Trust’s activities to promote sustainability.

Her Royal Highness also got a taste of the incredible speed and skill involved in the SailGP – the global racing championship taking place in Plymouth that weekend.

Monday 1 August

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise and Viscount Severn visited the Commonwealth Games, starting the day at the NEC for some Badminton, Boxing and Weightlifting.

Later in the day, The Earl, who is Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation, presented the medals following the men’s 50m Freestyle S7 final.

Tuesday 2 August

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise and Viscount Severn were back for another day at the Commonwealth Games. Today they were joined by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte.

After a morning at the pool, the Royal party then watched as England’s women’s hockey team beat India at The University of Birmingham Hockey and Squash Centre.

Meanwhile, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with Princess Charlotte, spoke to athletes at about the Team England Futures programme, a partnership between SportsAid, of which The Duchess is Patron, Sport England, and Commonwealth Games England.

In the evening, The Earl and Countess headed to Smithfield for the 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball final. It's the first time the sport has featured at the Commonwealth Games, with The Countess, who is Patron of Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball, marking the occasion by sending a message of support.

Following the matches, The Countess presented the men's medals and The Earl presented the women's medals.

Wednesday 3 August

On day 6 of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games The Earl and Countess of Wessex, with their children Lady Louise and Viscount Severn, went to watch the mixed doubles Squash.

The family then travelled to the NEC Arena where the Wales and South Africa Netball teams were competing. The Countess even got the chance to brush up on her netball skills.

At the Commonwealth Games Athlete Village The Earl and Countess met athletes and volunteers at a lunch hosted by Team GB Olympian Tessa Sanderson.

At Wigtown Show, Princess Alexandra celebrated the centenary of the Belted Galloway Cattle Society.

Thursday 4 August

The Princess Royal, Patron of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, attended a rehearsal at Redford Barracks, before later visiting the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming.
