THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY THE PRESS SECRETARY TO THE QUEEN
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will visit Bermuda, and Trinidad and Tobago from the 24th-28th November, 2009.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will visit Bermuda from the 24th-26th November, to commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the settlement of Bermuda.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will then pay a State Visit to Trinidad and Tobago at the invitation of the President, Professor George Maxwell Richards, from the 26th-28th November. The Queen will open the 2009 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Trinidad on the 27th November.
Background:
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh previously visited Bermuda in 1953, 1975, 1976 and 1994. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visited Trinidad and Tobago in 1966 and 1985.
