Royal visits and messages following flooding in the UK

THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY THE PRESS SECRETARY TO THE QUEEN
Following the recent flooding in the UK, The Queen has made a private donation to the Red Cross Appeal (of which she is Patron) for the flood disaster.
Earlier in the week, Her Majesty sent a message of sympathy to the Lord Lieutenants of the counties affected.
Today, The Princess Royal will visit Gloucester to meet those whose homes have been damaged or businesses affected by the recent flooding as well as a local support group leader.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Upton upon Severn and Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire to meet those affected by the recent flooding and members of the emergency services. They will visit a Water Distribution Centre and meet members of the emergency services and Armed Forces at Cheltenham Racecourse.
On 29 June 2007 The Prince of Wales visited Catcliffe and met those affected by the flooding and members of the emergency services involved in the rescue efforts.
On 4 July 2007 The Prince of Wales visited Toll Bar, near Doncaster, and met those affected by the flooding and members of the emergency services involved in the rescue efforts.
