Buckingham Palace

The King and Queen this afternoon visited the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, Barnoon Hill, St. Ives, marking the Thirtieth Anniversary of Tate St. Ives, which manages the museum, and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho), the Chairman of the Tate (Mr. Roland Rudd), the Chairman of Tate St. Ives (Sir Anthony Salz), Ms. Anne Barlow (Director of Tate St. Ives) and the Mayor of St. Ives (Councillor J. Wells).

Their Majesties toured the museum and garden, escorted respectively by Dr. Sophie Bowness (Granddaughter of Barbara Hepworth) and the Chairman of the Tate, and met young people from the Tate Collective programme, which organises events at the museum, and members of the local artistic community.

The King and Queen afterwards walked through St. Ives before arriving at St. Ives Harbour, Wharf Road, St. Ives, where Their Majesties met members of the Cornish community and listened to choristers from Truro Cathedral, before meeting a number of Coronation Champions and members of the St. Ives' Royal National Lifeboat Institution team.

The Queen later visited the Oasis Wellbeing Café the Columba Centre, West Street, St. Columb Major, and was received by Mr. James Williams (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall).

Her Majesty afterwards visited the Women's Centre Cornwall.

The King was represented by Admiral Sir Antony Radakin (Chief of the Defence Staff) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Admiral of the Fleet the Lord Boyce KG (former Chief of the Defence Staff) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, this morning.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Commander Robert Dixon RN.

The Princess Royal was represented by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Marshal of the Royal Air Force the Lord Stirrup KG.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent were represented by Mr. Nicholas Adamson.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy was represented by Prince Michael of Kent.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened the King's Arch at Government House, St. Saviour, and was received by the Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bailiwick of Jersey (Vice Admiral Jeremy Kyd).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, afterwards visited the Tortoise Takeover Trail at Gorey Castle, Castle Green, Gorey, and subsequently opened the Tortoise Tunnel at Jersey Zoo, la Profonde Rue, Trinity, Jersey.

The Princess Royal, Royal Fellow, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Royal Academy of Engineering Annual Awards Dinner at the Londoner Hotel, 38 Leicester Square, London WC2, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

Buckingham Palace

Colonel Tom Bonas was received by The King this afternoon upon relinquishing his appointment as Regimental Adjutant of the Welsh Guards when His Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.

The King afterwards held a Reception to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of The Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund at Clarence House.

His Majesty later received Prince Rahim Aga Khan (Aga Khan Development Network and Aga Khan Foundation).

The Queen this afternoon attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London SW19.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited St. Helena's Nursing Campus at the University of Derby, Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire (Mrs. Elizabeth Fothergill).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's new Urgent and Emergency Care Department, Calow, Chesterfield.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Motor Neurone Disease Association, later attended a Reception at Rolls-Royce Learning and Development Centre, Wilmore Road, Derby, and was received by Colonel John Wilson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited AV Dawson, Riverside Park Road, Middlesbrough, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs. Johanna Ropner).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Tees Components, Bolckow Street, North Skelton, Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Friends of St. Paul's Cathedral, this afternoon attended the Annual Festival Service in St. Paul's Cathedral, London EC4.

The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Mrs. Justice Dias, Mrs. Justice Hill, Mrs. Justice Morgan and Mrs. Justice Stacey were received by The King at Windsor Castle this afternoon upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when His Majesty invested them with the Insignia of Dames Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Mr. Justice Bennathan, Mr. Justice Bright, Mr. Justice Constable, Mr. Justice Fowler, Mr. Justice Kinney, Mr. Justice Rajah, Mr. Justice Richards, Mr. Justice Smith and Mr. Justice Sweeting were received by The King upon their appointment as Justices of the High Court when His Majesty conferred upon them the honour of Knighthood and invested them with the Insignia of Knights Bachelor.

Captain Jiwan Prasad Gurung, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, and Captain Narendradhoj Gurung, Queen's Gurkha Engineers (The King's Gurkha Orderly Officers) were received by The King when His Majesty invested them with the Insignia of Members of the Royal Victorian Order.

Colonel David Robinson (Colonel, Brigade of Gurkhas) was present.

The Queen, Patron, this afternoon held a Reception to mark the Fifteenth Anniversary of First Story at Clarence House.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Hft, this morning visited Flintshire Adult Day Care Centre, Hwb Cyfle, Chester Road West, Queensferry, Deeside, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd (Mr. Henry Fetherstonhaugh).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon visited their Headquarters of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation at Marford Mill, Rossett, Wrexham, Clwyd.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning attended the Great Yorkshire Show, Railway Road, Great Yorkshire, Showground, Harrogate, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs Johanna Ropner).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Cathedrals in Pilgrimage, afterwards visited Ripon Cathedral, Ripon.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon reopened the newly renovated Duchy of Cornwall Nursery, Cott Road, Lostwithiel, and was received by Mr. James Williams (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall).
